What is a Collaboration Request?

Kick off a project by requesting matches from NotedSource.

A Collaboration Request represents a company's desire to join forces with an expert to drive a project forward. Within a Collaboration Request, clients can provide a description of the project scope, engagement type, researcher requirements, anticipated start/end dates.

To create a new Collaboration Request, visit your dashboard. At the top of the Collaboration Request list, a (+) button will open the Create Collaboration Request window. A few questions about the request and your ideal researcher will get you started. All fields will save automatically.

You can also edit existing Collaboration Requests to submit a draft or to respond to our clarifying questions.

When a Collaboration Request is submitted, NotedSource begins the process of matching experts whose profiles meet the desired criteria by using a combination of A.I. and human intelligence. Once we've added several profiles to the Collaboration Request and set it to be reviewed, you will be able to see our notes about why an expert is a good fit, and leave your own notes for internal discussion or questions to NotedSource. Experts will never see your Collaboration Request, matches, or the notes you leave.

Each of the profiles on a Collaboration Request has buttons to Schedule a Meeting or Select. Once you select a candidate, the platform will guide you through the process of creating a Project, which is where your team will work with the expert.

For your reference, the client view of a Project includes the Collaboration Request but the Collaboration Request itself is removed from your dashboard once the connected Project is created.
